Aliona Bugaeva is a newly hired associate with Crescent Hotels and Resorts as a Revenue Manager at the newly built DoubleTree Times Square Hotel. This property has the distinction of being a premier property in New York as well as the 500th DoubleTree to be opened by Hilton. Aliona made the decision to be a part of the Doubletree hotel’s opening team because it offered an incredible avenue for further growth in the field of Revenue Management.
In Aliona’s words, “Crescent has the reputation for being an employee driven company and I am passionate about being a part of that. Even though I understand numbers and work within the Revenue department and know the importance of financials, I have a stronger commitment to personal growth and I wanted to be a part of a company that will not only encourage but support that.“ Aliona is very dedicated to her work and her career and was recently acknowledged by her team as the Rising Star Associate of the Quarter. She also just graduated in May 2017 from NYU, with a Master’s Degree in Hospitality Administration.
Sabrina Julevic started working with Crescent Hotels and Resorts over two years ago and was part of the opening team at one of the first New York properties; she later transitioned to the opening team at the Doubletree Hotel in Time Square, where she had the opportunity to champion a new Front Office role in a leadership capacity. Sabrina loves working with a company that is also tied to a brand which she loves. She enjoys working with Hilton and she enjoys the marriage and benefits of working within a dual relationship between the Hilton brand and a progressive company such as Crescent.
Sabrina is on the fast track to success recognized by her peers as the Rising Star/ leader of the first Quarter 2017, an impressive accomplishment during the opening of the hotel. Sabrina has her eyes set on moving into a role within Sales and Marketing, if not into a more senior capacity in the Front office, but she knows that with Crescent’s commitment to associates, that she will someday make that dream a reality. “When I took this new opportunity, it was because I wanted to have the opportunity to work in the City and I knew this was an outlet that would take me one step closer to fulfilling my career goals and dreams. I have witnessed first-hand four of my peers getting the opportunity to transition within the company to something even greater, and I was proud to be a part of their growth.”
Clarence Jordan joined Crescent in 2009 as a property controller. Since then, he has graduated through the organization holding the position of Regional Controller and VP Finance – Hotel Accounting.
When asked what traits he has which have especially been recognized at Crescent, Clarence credits the ability to look for opportunities to try and improve the organization’s processes and looking for ways to develop a stronger and more dynamic workplace.
He describes his continued success as a result of a culture at Crescent which looks for talent from within, while nourishing and motivating by supporting each and every associate to strive for higher goals.
Fadia Nacef graduated from the Hospitality program at Evergreen College and has since gained a wealth of experience working within many areas of the hotel industry. She began her career working as a Breakfast Attendant and was able to work her way up. During her time she has worked in several roles including Front Desk, Sales, and Housekeeping. She is now the Guest Services Manager at one of Crescent’s premier properties in the Ontario Province in Canada, where she oversees the Front Desk and Housekeeping departments. She is bilingual and has become a mentor and leader at the property.
Fadia comments that “Crescent is like a family. Not only has Crescent been professional in every aspect of running the company and property, but they have been amazing in the support and encouragement they give to all of the associates. Crescent cares about the associates and helps us advance our career down the path we want to see it go. Opportunities for promotion from within are everywhere. Dawn Gallagher is an accomplished Sales and Marketing Executive with extensive experience in multiple markets, as well as in both branded and independent hotels. As Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Dawn oversees all of Crescent Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, Revenue and Digital Strategies. Prior to moving up to Crescent Hotels and Resorts, Dawn served as the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Interstate Hotels where she was responsible for all Sales, Marketing and Revenue for all independent hotels in NYC, Interstate owned assets, as well as other priority projects. Dawn is a key asset to Crescent Hotels and Resorts as she provides knowledge of successful hotel openings, brand transitions and the ability to drive market share.

Ed Newton joined Crescent Hotels and Resort’s heading up the Talent Acquisition, Talent Branding, and Talent Culture Disciplines. Previously working in leadership roles on accounts with major S&P companies such as Marriott International, The Ritz-Carlton, Gaylord Hotels, Amazon.com and many others including biotech and financial companies, he brings both a marketing and talent management background to Crescent Hotels and Resorts.
